THUNDERCLAP is excited to announce the release of "The Unquiet Grave," the third installment in his 'Child Ballads' series. This single is a new take on an old song about a conversation between a young man and his dead lover, set to original music. Expect more singles to arrive in the coming weeks.

THUNDERCLAP is the brainchild of multi-instrumentalist and producer Nick Kinsey, a founding member of Elvis Perkins in Dearland and Diamond Doves. Kinsey has recorded and/or performed with Bon Iver, My Morning Jacket, A.A. Bondy, A.C. Newman, Marco Benevento, and The Felice Brothers, among others.

For the 'Child Ballads' series, Kinsey is cribbing stories and collaging lyrics from a collection of 305 English and Scottish ballads compiled by 19th century folklorist Francis James Child, and setting them in new and unlikely compositional and production contexts.
